Tuning in to Kids: An effectiveness trial of a parenting program targeting emotion socialization of preschoolers

RCT (128 parents of children 4.0-5.11y) of the Tuning in to Kids emotion-coaching program delivered in six community-led group sessions. Intervention parents increased emotion coaching and decreased emotion-dismissing beliefs/practices versus waitlist, with reductions in reported child behavior problems. Supports the teachability of emotion coaching.
