Síntesis

Pre-registered three-wave longitudinal study of 1,466 parents. Parental burnout appears to begin with exhaustion, which prospectively catalyzes emotional distancing and feeling fed up; these in turn are linked to a prospective increase in violence toward children. Suggests intervening early on exhaustion and watching for distancing as a warning sign.
