Associations of parenting dimensions and styles with externalizing problems of children and adolescents: An updated meta-analysis

Large meta-analysis (1,400+ studies) linking parenting dimensions to externalizing problems. Harsh control and psychological control showed the strongest associations with more externalizing behavior, while warmth, behavioral control, autonomy granting and an authoritative style showed small protective associations, including longitudinally (predicting change over time).
