Síntesis

Classic review evaluating whether childhood peer difficulties predict later maladjustment. Three indices (low acceptance, aggression, shyness/withdrawal) were assessed as predictors of dropping out of school, criminality, and adult psychopathology. Low acceptance and aggression most consistently forecast school dropout and externalizing outcomes; it also frames key methodological cautions for this literature.
