Síntesis

Review and meta-analysis of the Still-Face Paradigm across studies. Confirms a robust "still-face effect": when a caregiver suddenly goes unresponsive, infants show less positive affect and gaze and more negative affect, then recover during the reunion. Demonstrates infants depend on caregiver responsiveness for regulation and that rupture-and-repair is a normative dyadic process.
