Meta-analysis of randomized evaluations of child social-skills training (84 reports,
135 comparisons, N ~16,700). Mean effects were modest: about d = 0.38 post-intervention
and d = 0.28 at follow-up, with cognitive-behavioral programs and indicated prevention
for already at-risk children showing the strongest gains.
