Couple-Focused Prevention at the Transition to Parenthood, a Randomized Trial: Effects on Coparenting, Parenting, Family Violence, and Parent and Child Adjustment

Replication RCT of Family Foundations. Intervention couples showed better observed coparenting (more positivity, less competition), more positive parenting, and roughly half as many incidents of intimate-partner violence and parent-to-child physical aggression versus controls. Effects were strongest for families at elevated prenatal risk.
