Emotion socialization parenting interventions targeting emotional competence in young children: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Meta-analysis of RCTs of emotion-socialization parenting interventions for parents of children ~18 months to 6y11m (26 reports from 15 trials). Interventions improved supportive and reduced unsupportive emotion-socialization practices and improved child emotional competence. Synthesizes the randomized evidence behind emotion-coaching programs.
